Towing with Atlas Hydraulic Jack Plate

Hello,

 I just purchased a very new Ranger with a 6" Atlas Jack Plate ; no manual. Is there a downloadable manual ? My question is what position should the jack plate be in while towing? All the way down ? Is it ok to have it raised a little for ground clearance ?

  We recommend the plate to be in the lowest position possible while towing.  This alleviates extra stress on the top of the back plate while towing.  Obviously, if you have a ground clearance issue, you may not be able to tow with the plate all of the way down.  In this circumstance, tow with the plate as low as possible.  Please let me know if you have more questions.
